It is amazing how much muffins are similar to the most important choice we could ever make...to become a Christian. Maybe you and your kids or friend could talk about it over a plate of hot blueberry muffins. Here are a few of the similarities...
In Genesis 2, God describes how he used dust to create man. Muffins begin will a dust-like ingredient--flour. He added all the ingredients needed to create a person in his image. However, like muffin batter, it is just potential. Muffin batter isn't really good for much, in fact too much of it could make us sick! God offers you, slimy, sticky muffin-batter you, a place a refuge. A stable place of consistency--your own place in his muffin tin, where he can mold you and refine (bake!) you so that you can grow to be something that is nourishing and purposeful...a muffin!
I know that there are a ton of correlations you can draw between muffins and your Christian walk. Can you think of some?

Introduction
Welcome to My Mixer for the Master! This blog is dedicated to discovering ways that we can teach our children about God most effectively...using their snacks and meals.
